first ever dell inspiron gaming desktop breaks cover

While the theme at Computex 2017 seems to be decreasing sizes of gaming computers, Dell is going in the opposite direction. A brand more associated with laptops, the Inspiron line is getting its first ever gaming desktop powered by Windows 10 and, surprisingly, AMD’s Ryzen CPUs. Also breaking the mold is an Inspiron all-in-one which crams enough power inside to make it a stylish virtual reality home station.Despite this week’s hype, the gaming desktop market is never going away. In fact, it might be one of the remaining bastions of the PC market. This has perhaps inspired Dell to finally bring its own gaming desktop under the Inspiron name. Simply called the Inspiron Gaming Desktop, this towering behemoth has a simpler and more streamlined design compared to other gaming desktops, but stil

msi infinite a gaming desktop is ‘quiet as an assassin’

MSI has taken the wraps off a new gaming desktop at Computex 2017, the MSI Infinite A. omen x compact desktop leads hp’s new gaming fleet

Computex 2017 might be over, but HP is far from done. Especially with E3 just around the corner. Perfectly bridging the two worlds of PCs and gaming, HP’s new OMEN lineup promises to bring the best hardware inside innovative, if not unusual, packages. Heading the charge is the OMEN X Compact Desktop, which could very well be called the OMEN X VR Backpack 2. Because while you can indeed carry it around where you want to you can also dock it to an accessory when you need an added push.HP was one of the few to heed the call for a more mobile VR station. Learning from the lessons of the OMEN X VR Backpack, the new OMEN X Compact Desktop retains the portability while squeezing in the latest 7th gen Intel Core i7 CPU and a factory overclocked NVIDIA GTX 1080. It also has a trick up its sleeve, o

facebook live makes the overdue jump to desktop

This appears to be Facebook positioning itself as a serious competitor to existing streaming sites like Twitch and YouTube Gaming. Desktop streamers will be able to broadcast video from external hardware and streaming software, just like those services. This means that live Facebook videos can include gameplay footage and the on-screen graphics and picture-in-picture videos that have become a Twitch necessity. For more casual users, streaming on desktop is just as easy as it is in your phone. Select Live Video from the posting area on top of your News Feed or Timeline. Then, hit "next" and you're ready to broadcast from your computer's webcam.A major difference between Facebook live videos and Twitch is that Twitch users are able to monetize their efforts. Facebook is working on that, thoug

cool things you can make with a raspberry pi

Just in time for Pi Day (March 14, a.k.a. 3.14, for the less mathematically inclined), the Raspberry Pi foundation released a new Raspberry Pi board. Of course it’s not the Raspberry Pi 4 but simply a Model B+ for the existing RPi 3. Like almost any other Pi before it, it’s a step up, though small, in performance without changing the price one bit. Being Pi Day and all, it’s perhaps the perfect time to remember, or see for the first time, some of the coolest Raspberry Pi projects around.Desktop computerIt might be the most common use case for an RPi, but it’s also the most useful one right off the bat. The Raspberry Pi is a usable “desktop” computer out of the box. But like any desktop computer, you still need to get an OS, keyboard, mouse, and monitor for it. And there are tons of those a

alienware's control hub redesign folds in your game library

how to control your pc from android

My gaming PC is a beast of a machine. It’s an MSI GT72VR 6RE; a gaming laptop with a GTX 1070 that is more than capable of breezing through the latest games on ultra-settings and editing 4K video. It’s got over 1 TB of storage, and I keep all my movies and pictures on it. I love it.The problem is, it’s upstairs and I’m in bed.I bought a gaming laptop because it’s portable, but it is heavy, and there are a lot of wires to plug and unplug every time I move it.Yes, I’m that lazy.Fortunately, technology is all about finding creative ways to be lazy.
