Investors should go or stay long on West Texas Intermediate oil and copper, analysts including Jeffrey Currie wrote. Barclays said in its own note overnight that the bank remains "bullish" on crude through to 2020.

launching a kickstarter: final countdown considerations, and launch!

Editor’s Note: We thought it would be interesting to show, in detail, how a Kickstarter is run. Natasha has agreed to document her entire process in a 6 part series so you can see what is involved with setting up your own crowdfunding campaign. Today is Kickstarter launch day.I’m Natasha, the designer behind TechnoChic DIY tech-craft kits at TechnoChic.net. A moment ago, I clicked the big, green, “launch project now” button on Kickstarter.com to launch my new DIY light-up paper bow tie kits. It finally happened! The week leading up to launch has been jam packed with hard work, determination, and a deadline approaching at light speed. In this post, I’ll share the details of my final preparations to launch day right up to this moment. This is the sixth post on my journey to launch – if you m

wait, what exactly is meal planning?

You've heard the good news: Meal planning is going to improve your life by saving you time and money while lowering your stress. And once and for all, it will eliminate those dreaded moments of standing in front of the fridge wondering what to make for dinner. You know some of the benefits, but perhaps you aren't exactly sure what meal planning is or even where to start. We are here to help.
What Is Meal Planning? Watch the Video. So, what exactly is meal planning?
Meal planning is asking the question "what's for dinner?" once for the whole week, instead of every night, and then shopping for and prepping the ingredients before cooking. We believe the simplest way to approach meal planning is with three steps.

our editors' favorite meal planning tips

I wish I could say that I am an expert on meal planning, but I have it far from figured out. Each weekend I try to be a little better than the weekend before, getting myself as organized as I can be at that moment for the week ahead. I fail a lot, to be honest. Luckily, there's frozen tortellini and my colleagues, who never cease to amaze me with their abundance of great meal planning tricks and tips. They inspire me to keep on this meal planning train because when it's a success, it feels pretty darn great. Here are a few of my most favorite tips from our editors.
1. Start planning now!
Our Associate Food Editor, Meghan, says it like it is: "Start meal planning now. Quit waiting for a week when you have less on your schedule or when the kids aren't sick or you aren't stressed at work.

the top 10 mistakes meal planning beginners make (and how to solve them)

The approach you take for meal planning makes all the difference in setting yourself up for success. Of course tips and strategies for getting started, choosing a week of recipes, shopping for your meal plan, and bringing it all together are crucial. But it's just as important to identify all the points where it can go wrong, and then having a smart solution to avoid each and every pitfall.
1. Not giving yourself sufficient time for planning.
No matter how long you've been at it, meal planning takes time, and it doesn't happen in an afternoon. Trying to pack the planning, shopping, and prep in as quickly as possible and not giving yourself enough time will make this process seem totally frustrating and overwhelming from the start.
The solution: Give yourself plenty of time for meal pla

lok sabha passes gst supplementary bills

The historic Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime today came a step closer to meet its July 1 target of rollout, with the Lok Sabha approving four supplementary legislations. The Central GST Bill, 2017; The Integrated GST Bill, 2017; The GST (Compensation to States) Bill, 2017; and The Union Territory GST Bill, 2017 were passed after negation of a host of amendments moved by the opposition parties.Replying to the seven-hour-long debate, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the GST, which will usher in a uniform indirect tax regime in the country, will make commodities "slightly cheaper".He said the GST rates would depend upon whether the commodity is used by a rich person or a common man. Jaitley said once the new regime is implemented, the harassment of businesses by different authorities wil

Planning expeditions to Earth's nearest celestial neighbor is no longer just a NASA effort, though the U.S. space agency has plans for a moon-orbiting space station that would serve as a staging ground for Mars missions in the early 2030s. The United Launch Alliance, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Boeing, is planning a lunar fueling station for spacecraft, capable of supporting 1,000 people living in space within 30 year

amsterdam start-up plans to launch shared electric scooter scheme

Amsterdam may be poised to ban mopeds from the cycle lanes but a new start-up is planning to bring pay-as-you-drive electric scooters to the city streets later this year. The company wants to locate dozens of electric scooters around the city from July which can be reserved online and cost 30 cents a minute to use.The entrepreneurs behind the start-up, named Felyx, say they were inspired by car sharing schemes like Car2Go, but that scooters have one big advantage – you don’t need a parking place. the beginner's guide to meal planning: what to know, how to succeed, and what to

To the uninitiated, meal planning can feel like an elusive practice or an overwhelming task, but that's usually because we think about meal planning from the end point — when all the recipes have been selected, when all the groceries have been shopped for, and a week of dinners were successfully made. Put all the information in front of a newbie and their eyes grow wide with one resounding question: But how do I do it?
We've identified the simplest, most effective system for meal planning and broke it down into three key steps: selecting recipes, shopping for ingredients, and prepping your meals. These steps might seem pretty obvious, and for the most part they are, but there's critical strategy within each of them. It's the strategy that makes meal planning worth its weight in gold — or

homebrew macos package manager gets easier to use

An upgrade to the Homebrew package manager for MacOS unveiled this week emphasizes ease of use, as well as improved availability and quality of software while making a number of deprecations.Homebrew 1.2.0 deprecates most taps (package repositories) in the Homebrew GitHub organization and moves currently buildable software to Homebrew/homebrew-core. By moving taps to homebrew-core, Homebrew should be easier to use, lead maintainer Mike McQuaid said.McQuaid acknowledged Homebrew's reputation as difficult to use for installation and said that moving to the core should relieve some of that pain. The new version also increases reliability with features like environment filtering, which helps users have a more isolated installation environment, decreasing the likelihood of problems. The move to

watershed sha1 collision just broke the webkit repository, others may follow

EnlargeyoungthousandsShare this storyThursday's watershed attack on the widely used SHA1 hashing function has claimed its first casualty: the version control system used by the WebKit browser engine, which became completely corrupted after someone uploaded two proof-of-concept PDF files that have identical message digests. The bug resides in Apache SVN, an open source version control system that WebKit and other large software development organizations use to keep track of code submitted by individual members. Often abbreviated as SVN, Subversion uses SHA1 to track and merge duplicate files. Somehow, SVN systems can experience a severe glitch when they encounter the two PDF files published Thursday, proving that real-world collisions on SHA1 are now practical. On Friday morning, the research

jeff bezos is planning a delivery service for the moon

WP says the company has been circulating a seven-page white paper to NASA officials and Trump's transition team containing the project's details. Apparently, Blue Moon will be able to carry up to 10,000 pounds of cargo to space and can be launched on top of the Space Launch System, United Launch Alliance's Atlas V or Blue Origin's own New Glenn rocket. The company could put its experience landing its New Shepard rockets vertically to good use by using the same technology to land the spacecraft on the lunar surface. In fact, the white paper WP saw showed a vehicle that looks like a modified New Shepard. Blue Origin chose the Shackleton crater on the moon's south pole as its landing site, since that region has continuous sunlight that its spacecraft's solar panels can harness. Shackleton is a
