that razer esports sponsorship email is a scam

[Image credit: Forbes]As you can see, the email reeks of fraud: in addition to its questionable grammar, it came from a Gmail account with a misspelled username. Take note of the word "razor" in the sender's account name. We're sure those red flags are enough to give you pause, but to be safe, Team Razer is asking everyone not to click on any of the links. It also wants people to know that it (unfortunately) doesn't send out sponsorship deals via email, and you'll have to send in an application through its website if you're interested.

russia riled by trump's 'disturbing' nuclear weapons comments

Russia is “categorically opposed” to the termination of the New START nuclear arms control treaty, the head of the Federation Council’s defense committee, Viktor Ozerov, said on Feb. 24. Russia will push for an extension of the treaty, Ozerov said adding that it was “fundamental to global security” the RIA Novosti news agency reported.Ozerov’s remarks were prompted by a Feb. 23 interview with U.S. president Donald Trump in which he slammed the New START treaty as a “bad deal” signed by the previous administration. "We are going to start making good deals,” Trump said.Trump’s specific critique of the New START treaty is that it is “one-sided.”Ozerov was echoed by Federation Council member Konstantin Kosachev, head of the foreign affairs committee who said, “This is, perhaps, the most distur

michael jackson's mother enters estate legal fray

As the legal fight between Michael Jackson's estate and the IRS winds down, another battle is heating up.The estate has been involved in one lawsuit after another since the singer's death, facing off with Quincy Jones, Jackson's ex-manager Tohme Tohme and "Thriller" director Jon Landis — just to name a few. Now Katherine Jackson, the late King of Pop's mother, is asking the court to let her intervene in a lawsuit that centers on The Michael Jackson Company. She claims she owns 10 percent of TMJC, which was formed in 2006. This legal fight began in 2013 after another TMJC shareholder, Quadree El-Amin, requested to inspect the company's financial records. As part of Jackson's ongoing probate proceedings, attorneys for the estate asked the court for an order determining that Jackson himself w

facebook snag triggers security concerns

The number of Facebook users across the globe were locked out of their accounts due to an error in the system, triggering a security threat among those affected, a report said on Saturday.
According to the report in Mashable, Facebook was quick to assure that the problem was a technical one and there were no security problems.
"An error in one of our systems designed to help prevent suspicious account access sent a small set of people to our account recovery flow unnecessarily," a Facebook spokesperson was quoted as saying.
"We have fixed the issue and are in the process of clearing the affected accounts from this recovery flow," it added.
However, it could not be verified how many accounts were affected due to the snag on Friday.

facebook records 300 billion 'reactions' on posts in one year

Facebook has recorded 300 billion "Reactions" on posts and the "Love" reaction was used maximum times by its over 1.79 billion users, the company said on Saturday.
On February 24, 2016, Facebook enhanced conversations by implementing "Reactions" -- a group of emojis that has "Love", "Haha", "Wow", "Sad" and "Angry" emoticons -- that joined the famous "Like" button.
"It's been one year since we could do more than 'Like' a friend's post, and in that time, there have been a total of 300 billion reactions on posts to date," Facebook said in a statement.
"We have also analysed and are now able to share the most commonly used reactions and the times/places they are used most, providing insight about how Facebook's more than 1.8 billion users express themselves on Facebook and beyond, the s

speaker telmo languiller resigns over expense scandal

Victorian speaker Telmo Languiller has sensationally quit on the eve of a forensic audit into whether he rorted his taxpayer-funded parliamentary entitlements.Days after Fairfax Media revealed that the Labor MP had claimed almost $40,000 on a "second residence" allowance to live in Queenscliff while representing a western suburbs electorate, Mr Languiller announced he would step down as speaker and return to the backbench.
Lower house Speaker Telmo Languiller.  It is understood that Daniel Andrews' parliamentary secretary Colin Brooks is the Premier's preferred choice to replace Mr Languiller as speaker, and that the government is now considering tightening the entitlements system as a result of the latest scandal."During the last 48 hours I have had the opportunity to talk with family,

winx makes it 15 in a row, as she wins chipping norton stakes at randwick

Winx did what everyone expected and won the Chipping Norton Stakes at Randwick on Saturday. To tell the truth, there was probably more concern in the hours before the race than over the one minute 40 seconds it took for her to take out her 10th group 1.
"She makes her own luck, she makes it look easy": Hugh Bowman. Photo: Getty ImagesOn a miserable afternoon on a very heavy track, Winx recorded her 15th consecutive win and never looked to have come off the bridle."That was pretty special. It was different, completely different. That's more pressure than I've felt since the early days (as a trainer)," Waller said. "You just want to make sure you get it right."The margin back to VRC Oaks winner was two lengths, which could have been more if Hugh Bowman had wanted, with Who Shot Thebarman f
